The human act of designing is not only an artistic fact, although it involves the same thought processes and artistic expression as the result of which: To design an object according to its practical use, the designer organises the structural elements and components in a way which gives the product or idea a meaning if that object or concept is related to the culture of its social context.

Designing mainly requires functional, aesthetic and symbolic thoughts. The process demands several phases such as: Observation, investigation, analysis, testing, adjustments, adaptations (physical or virtual by means of Computer Aided Design programmes in 2 or 3 dimensions), changes previous to the final production of the object, building of engineering projects outdoor or indoor, architecture and interior design.

Designing is a complicated task, dynamic and intricate. It is the combination of technical, social and economic requirements, biological necessities, ergonomics regarding the psychological and material effects, shape, colour, size and area. It is all thought out and interrelated to the environment around us.
